The History
The origin of the name of this famous pastry store isn't sure, probably ‘O Funzionista was its first owner, he was so called because he used to organize funcions, that's to say that he used to organze ceremonies and meetings.
At the beginning this store was in Tasso's square, the main sqaure of Sorrento, but during the first years of XX century it changed a lot of positions and identities becoming an inn.
After the twilight war ‘O Funzionista became a pastry store and an ice cream parlour, and it'll never change identity any more. Today it's still the best store where you can taste tipical products.
